Selling Property As-Is

All properties in California are sold "as-is" (CA-RPA Section 11(i)). Some listing agents think that by putting that language in a counter-offer it prevents the buyers from trying to negotiate repairs. This is not the case.

Even when listing agents counter that a property is being sold "as-is", as long as your client still has an inspection contingency, they retain the right to conduct inspections and then request repairs and/or credits or back out of deal if they desire.
