How Do I Join the REALTOR Association?

Question: How do I join the National Association of REALTORS, California Association of REALTORS, or a local association?

You automatically earn membership in the National and California associations when you sign-up with a local association.

Question: Can I join any local REALTOR Association?

You can join any local REALTOR Association where the brokerage maintains current membership. Refer to this article for a list of local associations we currently belong to.

Read below to see what options we have if we are not currently members of an association you wish to join.

Question: What if you aren't members of a local association that I want to join?

If we are not members of an Association of Realtors or MLS that you currently belong to and you would like us to join you would need to email us at info@ashbygraff.com to request we join. You will be responsible for the brokerage membership fees for the first year. Brokerage membership fees vary by Association but are typically less than your fees because we do not need to pay the dues portion to the state and national Associations.

If you decide to move forward with having us join your Association of choice than you will qualify for reimbursement of the fees you paid for our first year of membership if you are able to recruit agents from the same Association or MLS to join A&G. For each agent that joins we will reimburse you 33% of the fees you paid, up to 100%. So if you recruit 3 agents then we will reimburse you for 100% of those fees.

Question: What is the cost to join the REALTOR Association?

The cost to become a member of a local REALTOR Association varies between the different local associations. Membership dues are owed annually at the beginning of the year. Dues are also prorated depending on when you join. Due to these varying factors you will need to reach out to the local association directly to inquire about their current membership costs.
